Bicycles For Humanity- Bicycles for Humanity Colorado is a non profit organization based in Denver/Boulder that uses donated bicycles to address a fundamental barrier to development-mobility in rural Africa. Poor transport systems mean poor access to healthcare, education and economic opportunities. Bicycles donated through community based bike shops provide sustainable mobility solutions for rural Africans. To date, B4H Colorado has delivered over 6,700 bikes to small communities in Kenya, Namibia, Zambia and Tanzania, creating jobs and schools along the way.
Boulder Food Rescue-Boulder Food Rescue is a non-profit whose goal is to create a more just and less wasteful food system. This is done through the sustainable redistribution of healthy food, such as fruits and vegetables, from grocery stores, to low-income housing sites, senior homes, day-cares, food pantries, day shelters and pre-schools. The food is taken directly to individuals, and as much food redistribution as possible is done by bicycle. In just 4 years, BFR has redistributed over 1.3 million pounds of food, with the help of 150 active volunteers and have done it 87% by bike!
BMA-Helping to build and maintain mountain bike trails in Boulder County
Cyclists For Community– C4C was founded by a group or cyclists who appreciates the vast abundance of trails, roads and bikeways which allows cyclists of all kinds enjoy commuting, riding for fun, fitness and sport. In turn, C4C gives back by supporting philanthropic activities including disaster relief, support of non-profit organizations, and promoting responsible cycling.
